Dodger Stadium: 2017 New Food and a New Season

It's Time for Dodger Baseball!

Spring not only brings baseball,
but also a new menu for Dodger fans.

My annual preview visit to Dodger Stadium!

My previous preview visits:

Yay, the season is about to start!

We gathered in the Ketel One Baseline Club
in Right Field for this season's presentation
of the new food menu, stadium upgrades,
and promotional items.

Before we get to the new food items,
here are some of the 2017 promotional items

Brooklyn Dodger Cap Night,
June 19

 Where it all began...

A great looking shirt,
Korea Night,
May 24th

Dodger pitcher Hyun-jin Ryu's number is 99.

Jewish Community Night,
August 13th.

Some pretty nice promotional items so far,
right Joc Pederson?

But I went to CSUN,
oh well...

Might have to celebrate my birthday
at Dodger Stadium...

Vin Scully Ceremony & Commemorative
Microphone Statue Night
May 3rd

Executive Chef Ryan Evans
introduces this year's starting line up,
I mean, starting menu.

New for 2017
Chicken Bites

Chili Cheese Tots
with house-made chili and cheese sauce

Poke Bowl
one of the new BaseBowls.

Ahi tuna over rice with vegetables.

Big Island Lava Wings
from KING'S HAWAIIAN®

Smoked chicken wings with KING'S HAWAIIAN® BBQ sauce.

Great BBQ!

Dodger Burger
with a 1/3 lb special blend Angus patty,
topped off with a Dodger Dog, Caramelized onions,
Budweiser barbecue sauce, and
beer battered jalapeños.

This was my favorite of the new menu
that I sampled and will look for it
during the upcoming season.

What's a Dodger game without a Dodger Dog?

The Extreme Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog
a 1/3 lb all beef hot dog wrapped with
Applewood smoked bacon smothered with
grilled peppers & onions,
drizzled with mustard and mayonnaise.

Now it was time to tour the stadium
The Bank of America corporate suite.
The only corporate suite at Dodger Stadium.

Loving the pictures on the wall in the suite,
top one is of Dodger pitcher Clayton Kershaw.

The view from the Bank of America suite.

Next Stop:  the Dodgers' Third Base dugout and
a walk on the field.

New batboy?

Next Stop, outside of the Lexus Dugout Club,
behind home plate.

We got to see all of the awards in the hallway,
the Dodgers' Cy Young Awards.

The 1988 World Series Trophy

Do you remember the Kirk Gibson home run in Game 1
of the 1988 World Series?

The Vin Scully Press Box

Thinking about all of the sports writers
who've sat in the box and have written
their articles from here.

"Baseball is a game where a curve is an optical illusion, a screwball
can be a pitch or a person, stealing is legal and you can spit anywhere
you like except in the umpire's eye or on the ball."
~ Jim Murray

Just outside of the Vin Scully Press Box on the Club Level
is a tribute to Vin Scully.

Presented to him on Opening Day 2016

For 67 years, Vin was the voice of the Dodgers.

His last broadcast on October 2, 2016
in San Francisco.

His 2016 Scorebook and Headset.

One of the items on display.

First Pitch is April 3rd.

As usual, it was another great Dodger preview event.
Got a good taste of the new food items at Dodger Stadium
and an added bonus to attend games this season.

The stadium upgrades continues to make watching a ball
game at Dodger Stadium is enjoyable like the newer parks,
considering this stadium is the 3rd oldest ball park
in the Major Leagues, opened in 1962.

Thank You!
