626 Night Market - July 22-24, 2016

It's that time again,  the 626 Night Market on home turf  at Santa Anita Park!   WAIT, Weren't we just here? Yes, July 4th weekend. But who's counting, right? July 22-24th Weekend in Arcadia! See What Jay Eats...  The "Rainbow Roe~D" from Cup Town BBQ With roe, pickled radish, and seaweed salad  over rice. (and it wasn't a poke bowl) Great on a hot day!  It's me, so you know I had to have tacos. The pork belly tacos from Rakken Tacos . It was Fryday, so had to have some Okamoto Kitchen's Japanese Fried Chicken or "Karaage Chicken" Classic Style. Needing something to drink now, what should I have? OC Night Market - May 2016

April Showers brings May Flowers, do you know what May Flowers bring? Baseball and the start of the Night Market Season, my  two favorite Spring activities. First one of the season,   OC Night Market (May 13 - 15, 2016) the weather was a bit on the cool side. But it was a good kick-off to the  Night Market season and to see NM friends... Here's some of what I enjoyed at the May 2016 OC Night Market  Checking out  Square Ice Cream with their Square Donuts. Can't decide? Tried them all... Of course I was waiting for this one... Okamoto Kitchen - Japanese Comfort Food on Wheels

Not your typical Japanese food truck, some common Japanese comfort food with some lesser known dishes added in. Chef Chizuru (Okamoto) and Gerald Abraham have created this Japanese mobile menu. I met the folks of Okamoto Kitchen at the September 626 Night Market  at Santa Anita Park. Since I was busy working, I only had time to try their Green Tea Parfait, which was really good.
