The Halal Guys - Now in Costa Mesa
One of the most anticipated openings in Southern California... The Halal Guys are Here! On Opening Day (October 2, 2015), the line was 4 hours long. I was there on a mid-week afternoon, the wait was about an hour and a half . Yes, that famous New York City original is now in Southern California! So, what do you order at the Halal Guys? Known for their gyros, chicken with rice, and lots and lots of white sauce. See What Jay Eats... The Halal Classic Platter with chicken & gyro and all of the fixings. One thing I learned from my visit, each ingredient is of the highest quality, each piece of chicken is inspected before cooking, rice is constantly being cooked to ensure quality throughout the day, and fries are made to order.
