My 2014 Food Favorites of the 626 Night Market Season

Now that the 2014  626 Night Market Season is Over, Here are My 2014 Food Favorites (Not in any order) The Surf & Turf Ramen Burger The Specialty Ramen Burger   at the July 626 Night Market As most of you know, I'm friends with the creator of the original  Ramen Burger ,  Keizo Shimamoto , and a fan of his creation.   I've tried each of the specialty  burgers and my favorite is the  Surf & Turf with an Angus beef patty  and a salmon patty  (this one had La Sriracha Macha too - see below). Upcoming September 626 Night Market - 2014

This is the 3rd and Final 626 Night Market at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia for 2014. Celebrating the End of Summer! Here's what I'm looking forward to this weekend... Photo Courtesy of Oh Thit! Rainbow Tacos from Oh Thit!   (F19)  A lemongrass pork grilled to perfection with fresh cabbage, onions, cilantro, topped with the special Oh Thit! sauce on a warm corn tortilla. I did get to sample the work-in-progress version and THAT was good OR should I say "Thit!" was good! I love tacos, this one had a nice kick with the flavorful pork. 20" Satay (The longest satay at a Night Market) from Aunty Merry   (E07) Chicken, Angus Beef, and Chicken Curry satay available. I've had their satay and Indonesian corn at a previous 626 and was very good.   This week has been quite warm and just thought to check the weather for this weekend in the San Gabriel Valley. It's August 626 Night Market Time at Santa Anita Park. If you've followed me, you know I love going to one place and getting to try lots and lots of food.  626 Night Market is like a food Disneyland, over 130 food vendors! Crazy, Right? See What Jay Eats... Roasted Corn, Pork Skewers, and Filet Mignon Skewers on the grill from Oh Thit! They make one of the most flavorful thit nuong (grilled pork) I've had, you can taste the lemongrass.  So good! Not sure if I can talk about it, but Oh Thit! is working on a new menu item for September. Stay Tuned! With 626 Night Market founder, Jonny Hwang. We're talking food, the 626, and Maui.
