The Last Night Market of the Season! The KTown Night Market   organizers presents the Halloween Food Fest October 25 & 26, 2014 My post of the first KTown Night Market in April 2014 HERE 6th Street was closed to traffic in KTown.  Over 70 vendors lined the street between Mariposa Ave and Berendo St.  The Ultra-Popular Original Ramen Burger was in attendance. They're so popular, they even had a line before the event opened! OK, so it was the Original Ramen Burger crew in their new red shirts... See What Jay Eats... Just a few things I had  I stopped by the Chilly Ribbons ' ski chalet to try their latest flavor, Red Bean. You can see the red bean pieces... Now ready to go with red beans, mochi, and almonds. It was sweet without being sweet and had a nice flavor.  Now that the night market season is over, I guess I'll have to get out to their store in Westwood. ...

The Inaugural Monterey Park Night Market July 25, 2014 Barnes Park Monterey Park, California Arrived just after 5 pm, food trucks and booths all over the park. It was nice to explore the park and to see food trucks in different areas.    Saw a few familiar food vendors  Swirls Potato and Lemonade   Lots of flavors to choose from... See What Jay Eats... Tried their new flavor, Ketchup What goes better with a fried potato than ketchup? It was a very familiar flavor Takoyaki from Tanota Takoyaki  It reminds me of my last visit to Japan, a festival street food item. It's Night Market Season Again! With the popularity of Night Markets in Asia, we're fortunate to have some good ones in Southern California. It's a great place to try all kinds of food, entertainment, and shopping All in One Place!  So much to see and do at a Night Market. The best thing, it's street food and most prices are between $3 - $8. (items such as lobster are at a higher price) Here's my Night Market  Survival Guide Just some helpful hints... 1.  Want some good stuff to eat? Plan to arrive Early. Once the sun sets, you can expect lines getting into the parking lot AND lines getting into the event grounds.  Hence the name Night Market. Once inside, be prepared to stand in line for one of the more popular vendors. If you want to try something popular, like the Original Ramen Burger , plan on waiting.
