Inaugural Crave Expo 2014

The ice sculpture dispensing champagne

Thanks to my friend Erin (@DatingAdviceGirl),
I was invited to the Inaugural Crave Expo
at The Mark of Events in Los Angeles.

Event founders, Jacob Lee, Peter Paik, and Martin Kim, wanted
to create a one stop shop for catering needs.

I've been to a lot of food shows, both trade and various
food & wine events, as both an attendee and exhibitor/chef.
I guess I wasn't expecting a lot of soon-to-be brides in attendance,
but it makes perfect sense.  Just as what the founders wanted to create,
a one stop shop for catering and event services.

As I arrived, Lawry's Catering was the first vendor I came across.
Having catered with them at a few events (and also as an attendee),
they do a professional job outside of the restaurant
environment and of course their food is very good too.

Cucumber Canapes with Salmon and Dill

Thai Watermelon and Crab Shooters

Having home court advantage, The Mark
had a very nice Kale Salad with pine nuts, Farro,
currants, shaved Parmesan, with a Sherry Vinaigrette.

Watermelon and Gazpacho Shooters with Shrimp Cocktail
from The Mark

This caught my eye!

White Chocolate Reese's Peanut Cups

It was just as good too...

Long Beach Lemon Cupcake

All of their menu items are spiked with
an adult beverage and great for adult parties.

Besides food and catering services,
there was entertainment from BLACKAT
a photo booth from FLIPBOOTH
and salon services by Style Lounge.

Lemon Blueberry Cupcakes
from Lovesome

serving up some gumbo.

Watermelon Radish with Burrata and herbs

Thai Chicken Noodle Salad

These are just some of the exhibitors at the Crave Expo.
I apologize if I have the incorrect company name or dish.

AND being able to go home with a
Bling It On Candy White Chocolate Reese's Peanut Cup!

If you're looking for catering or event services,
checkout Crave Expo for L.A. services
for your wedding, company event, fund raiser, or
a party just for the hell of it!

Check them out for 2015

Thank you Crave Expo
