Great Tasting Food, That's Good for You!
I was invited out to dinner tonight and this time I didn't have to cook for anyone or have to fix a mistake. We met up at True Food Kitchen at Santa Monica Place, opened about 3 months ago. It's a restaurant developed by Fox Restaurant Concepts and best-selling healthy-living author Dr. Andrew Weil. This Phoenix-based restaurant features a menu and ambiance that appeals to sophisticated diners pursuing a balanced lifestyle. OR someone like me who wanted to try a good tempeh burger...

$11
Tempeh, Lettuce, Tomato, Avocado, Mayo & Whole Grain Bun
Served with kale salad and sweet potatoes
This was the reason why we came to try the tempeh burger.
The tempeh was crispy and not mushy like other places.
We didn't try any of their gluten free crust pizzas (available) or their soups, but what we did have was pretty good. I'd like to try some of their entrees next time.
Overall, good food and great service. Thanks to Tristian, all of the recommendations were right on, except we're not sure of the name of the salad...
BTW, with each sandwich, you get a choice of sides (sweet potatoes or kale salad). We opted for half and half, hence the sweet potatoes and kale on each plate.
